Urgent Opportunity: Technical Fire Safety Compliance Officer – DLO FSW Team

Location: London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham 
Department: Economy - Growth & Place
Duration: Temprorary ongoing 
Hybrid based role 2-3 days in the office - sometimes less 
Full Time - Monday to Friday

We are in partnership with a leading local council is seeking a highly skilled Technical Fire Safety Officer to join the DLO FSW Team. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the fire safety compliance and administration of a vital community service.

About the Role:

As the Technical Fire Safety Officer, you will provide essential support to the Fire Safety Team, ensuring the smooth operation of all back-office functions. Your role will be instrumental in maintaining compliance across the fire safety sector, providing both technical and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:

Compliance Support: Assist in delivering fire safety objectives, ensuring all statutory obligations are met effectively.
Documentation & Technical Input: Manage key documents, provide technical support for fire door maintenance, and other fire safety initiatives.
Leadership: Oversee and mentor junior officers, trainees, and apprentices within the team.
Administration: Handle a variety of tasks, including database management, financial reporting, minute-taking, and more.
Business Support: Contribute to strategic planning, improving business efficiencies, and supporting the wider Capital and Asset Management team.

What We're Looking For:

Organizational Excellence: Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Technical Expertise: A background in fire safety compliance, office management, or business support roles.
Leadership: Experience in supervising and developing team members, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications:

At least 3 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent), including Mathematics and English Language.
Experience with CRM systems, procurement processes, and business support in a compliance-focused environment is highly desirable.
