ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you a skilled Project Manager looking for an exciting opportunity to drive positive change in the Housing Management Department?

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Project Manager. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in improving our housing services and delivering tangible results.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Project Manager, you will:

  • Collaborate: Work closely with the Head of Delivery and the Assistant Director of Housing Management to execute our Housing Management Service Improvement plan, focusing on enhancing housing services, managing the annual home visits program, and streamlining the voids end-to-end process.
  • Deliver Excellence: Ensure projects are executed within budget, meet deadlines, and maintain high-quality standards. Identify and manage potential risks, monitoring projects to ensure they align with requirements and maintain accurate records.
  • Engage: Facilitate and manage meetings with senior internal and external stakeholders, including council members and residents.
  • Analyse: Produce detailed analytical reports for presentation to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Multi-Task: Effectively project manage multiple complex workstreams as directed by the Head of Delivery or Assistant Director of Housing Management.
  • Budget and Procurement: Prepare budgets, forecasts, and other management tools. Oversee the development, procurement, and delivery of proposals, as well as manage legal and commercial agreements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to our agenda of continuous improvement for Housing Management, championing individual initiatives and projects.
  • Build Relationships: Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the council and with external stakeholders.
  • Customer Focus: Provide exceptional customer service standards to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Governance Support: Assist in program governance through the production and presentation of progress reports.
  • Adaptability: Carry out other duties consistent with the job purpose as they arise.


ABOUT YOU

Qualifications:

  • Prince2, Agile, or other Project Management qualifications.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Demonstrate a successful track record as a project manager in a large, complex organization, preferably within the public sector or a large Housing Organization.
  • Experience in formulating, leading, and implementing innovative solutions that drive tangible service improvements.
  • Proven ability to establish a strong performance culture, implement effective performance measures, evaluate service quality, and enhance service delivery to meet customer expectations.
  • Competence in budget management, risk management, monitoring, and financial control.
  • Skilled in synthesizing and presenting complex information in an understandable way to various audiences, including directors and chief officers.
  • Familiarity with working in a local authority and a political environment to successfully manage and implement projects.
  • Proficiency in analysing diverse data sets and understanding the perspective of service users to drive improvements.
  • Knowledge and experience in delivering service design, preferably utilizing agile design methodologies.
