ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Project Manager role operates within a matrix management structure, reporting to the Head of Delivery while collaborating closely with the Assistant Director for Placed Services. This role revolves around coordinating and spearheading significant change initiatives within Resident Engagement (Placed Services). It offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the Resident Engagement Reset Change Project, catalysing substantial improvements in how the Housing Division delivers its services through enhancement programs and change management initiatives.


ABOUT THE ROLE

The role entails:

Overseeing the delivery of the Resident Engagement Reset Change Project across Housing Services, influencing new work methodologies to achieve resident engagement objectives.

Managing change management projects, such as the reorganization of resident engagement services and the resetting of resident engagement group forums.

Ensuring projects are executed within scope, budget, and agreed-upon timeframes, prioritizing work based on service capacity and capability. This includes comprehensive project planning and governance.

Leading, inspiring, and facilitating behavioural change by utilizing targeted service redesign and change techniques with individuals, resident groups, and teams in a positive manner.

Ensuring changes are fully integrated into relevant services, cultivating a results-oriented work environment that minimizes resistance and addresses uncertainties surrounding the changes.

Collaborating with housing teams, staff, and managers to devise practical and innovative solutions for complex business challenges, aiming to enhance efficiency and service delivery to residents while delivering tangible benefits.

Initiating additional activities and management approaches wherever gaps or issues arise.

Leading effective communication and engagement efforts for the projects, both internally and with external organizations as needed.

Undertaking other projects and duties aligned with the role to support the Head of Delivery.


ABOUT YOU

Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to Council policies regarding Equal Opportunity, Customer Care, and service delivery, and the ability to implement these policies in the workplace.


Qualifications:

Prince2, Agile, or other Project Management qualifications


Knowledge & Experience:

A proven track record as a project manager in a large, complex organization, preferably in the public sector or a large Housing Organization.

Experience formulating, leading, and implementing innovative solutions that span service or professional boundaries, resulting in tangible service improvements.

Demonstrated success in establishing a strong performance culture, including effective performance metrics, service quality evaluation, and improved service delivery meeting customer needs and expectations.

Experience in budget management, risk management, monitoring, and financial control.

Proficiency in synthesizing and presenting complex information in an understandable manner to a broad audience, including directors and chief officers.

Experience working in a local authority and navigating a political environment to successfully manage and implement projects.

Ability to analyse various data sets and understand the perspective of service users to enhance their experience.
