Job Title: Specialist Housing Officer
Reports To: Sheltered Housing Manager
Hourly Pay Rate: £20.20 PAYE or £25.07 Umbrella PAYE
Duration: Initially 4 Months
Location: On-site requirement 5 days per week (West London)

Job Description:
The role entails delivering an enhanced tenancy and estate management service aimed at continually enhancing the quality of life and satisfaction with services for older and vulnerable residents. It also involves maximising opportunities to coordinate and collaborate with key partners and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
Provide a comprehensive enhanced housing management service to assist residents in maintaining their tenancy and ensuring their access to a range of housing and support services.
Collaborate within a specialist team focusing on older and vulnerable customers, with a responsibility to identify avenues for service development and continuous improvement.
Adhere to appropriate guidelines and procedures to ensure the Council delivers services efficiently.
Conduct systematic monitoring and inspection of sheltered housing schemes to maintain secure, clean, and well-maintained communal areas and services, while considering residents' needs for planned maintenance.
Report household repairs for residents who are less able to do so and coordinate/deploy a handy person to offer a more accessible and tailored service.
Manage the rehousing process, including liaising with the void works team in property services to prepare properties for works and manage their return post-completion, facilitating viewings, and signing up new and transferring tenants.
Provide a tenancy management service tailored to the needs of sheltered housing residents, including facilitating the signing up of new tenancies and assisting residents in effecting changes to tenancies such as successions and name changes.

About You:
Knowledge & Skills:
Ideally experienced in dealing with landlords and tenants within the housing sector.
Ability to effectively engage with a diverse community client base, developing successful dispute resolution strategies.
Strong time management skills, adept at organising workload and managing conflicting priorities.
Proficiency in maintaining accurate records, both in hard copy and computerised systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a talent for presenting information clearly and systematically.
