About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Technical Officer to join our Capital Direct Delivery Team within the Economy Department. Reporting to the Senior Programme Manager, you will play a pivotal role in providing day-to-day technical support to ensure our capital delivery works are legally compliant and efficiently executed.
This role involves positive intervention and management support based on specialist knowledge and research. You will assist in maintaining robust relationships with both internal staff and external clients.

Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support & Compliance: Provide technical support ensuring compliance within defined specifications across the capital delivery work programme.
- Administrative Duties: Support all administrative matters related to the service area and undertake general and specific administrative duties.
- Problem Solving: Respond to technical advice requests relating to capital delivery projects and ensure statutory provisions are competently executed.
- Emergency Response: Assist with the Estate Housing response to emergency incidents.
- Project Support: Provide technical support during the scoping, installation, commissioning, and handover phases of projects.
- Data Management: Assist in the collection and collation of data for statistical surveys, public enquiries, and legal proceedings.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Handle enquiries from stakeholders, including members, contractors, suppliers, and service managers.
- Complaint Management: Manage complaints and support senior managers with recruitment processes.
- Health & Safety Training: Organise health and safety training for new starters and provide necessary office equipment and PPE.
- Technical Library Maintenance: Maintain the technical library resources, including manual updates of loose-leaf publications.

About You
- Proven experience in collaborative working
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to promote positive relationships and effective teamwork.
- Demonstrate a flexible, agile, and responsive approach to case management and enquiries.
- Experience working with and leading a wide range of stakeholders within a Public-Sector context.
- Competent in using IT systems to maintain databases, produce reports, and manage correspondence.
- Ability to attend meetings outside of normal working hours, including evenings and weekends.

Additional Information
The postholder will be required to converse comfortably with members of the public and comply with Council policies regarding health and safety at work. 
This is a hybrid role, candidates must confirm they can attend office at least once a week, more likely twice a week, occasionally more often, depending on needs of service.
