ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you an organized and customer-focused individual with administrative skills? We are seeking a Sales Support Officer to join our team in West London. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in our mission to enhance service delivery, boost sales, and maintain customer satisfaction.
Location: West London
Salary: £17.27/hr PAYE or approx. £22 umbrella
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Support: Provide administrative support by handling phone calls, responding to emails, processing mail, and managing various communication channels.
- Financial Guidance: Offer financial and service advice to customers, as well as collaborate with the Commercial Waste team and other Council Officers using tools like the MS Office package.
- Data Management: Assist the Commercial Waste team with administrative system support. This includes processing digital and analogue documents, accurately inputting data into databases, maintaining records, and ensuring efficient filing and retrieval processes.
- Contractor Communication: Maintain two-way communication with the Contractor, including notifying them of new, amended, and cancelled services, monitoring task completion, reviewing service exemptions, and addressing customer service issues and complaints.
- Query Resolution: Check and resolve daily exemption reports raised by the waste contractor and address missed collections raised by customers.
- Waste Transfer Notices: Issue, record, maintain, and file annual Waste Transfer Notices for all customers, ensuring compliance with the Environment Protection Act 1990.
- Sales Tracking: Update and maintain Commercial Waste sales trackers and reports for new, amended, and cancelled accounts.
- Policy Awareness: Stay updated on current policies, procedures, and practices related to the responsibilities of the Commercial Waste Team.
- Financial Advice: Provide customers with financial advice regarding their account status and payment options, including processing card payments and setting up Direct Debit mandates.
- Debt Recovery: Undertake simple debt recovery actions, such as routine account checks, digital and analogue correspondence, and telephone calls. Maintain accurate records of all debt-related activities.

Knowledge & Skills:
- Required: Post sales aftercare customer support experience
- Previous administrative support experience
- Familiarity with GDPR
- Strong teamwork abilities
- Computer literacy
